My journey into the world of coding has been nothing short of an adventure. From the moment I decided to take the Scrimba Frontend Development course, I knew I was in for something special. Little did I know how much this journey would shape my perspective on coding, learning, and life itself.
The Scrimba Experience
Scrimba's frontend development course is a treasure trove of knowledge and practical experience. What struck me the most was their emphasis on hands-on coding. It's one thing to understand a concept in theory, but it's an entirely different ball game when you're asked to write the code yourself.
I quickly realized that thinking I knew something and actually implementing it were two very different things. The course challenged me to apply my knowledge, and it was both humbling and incredibly rewarding.
Make It Work, Then Make It Better
One of the philosophies that resonated with me the most was the idea of "make it work, then make it better." This approach encouraged me not to get bogged down by perfectionism but to focus on getting things done first. It's a valuable lesson I've applied not just in coding but in other aspects of life as well.
Setbacks and Comebacks
Like any journey, there were bumps along the way. There was a time when life got in the way, and I couldn't code for a whole week. It felt like I was losing momentum, but I soon realized that setbacks are a part of any learning process. I decided to take it slow, revisited what I had previously learned, and gradually got back on track.
Seeing Code Come to Life
One of the most magical moments in this journey is when you see the code you've written come to life. It's a feeling that's difficult to put into words. Whether it's a simple score counter for a basketball game or a more complex project like an airport passenger counter, the satisfaction of seeing your creation work is surreal.
